ABSTRACT

Ion Pb(II) and Co(II) are contaminator in liquid waste. Dissociation of ion Pb(II) and Co(II) from liquid waste is very important, because compound of Pb(II) very poisonous. Transport metal ion use liquid membrane with media carrier of oxine have been done by former researcher, but requiring too long time and experiment condition difficult controlled. Therefore attempted by simultan.

Research about transport Pb(II) and Co(II) from source phasa of passing liquid membrane to receiver phasa by simultan have been done. Concentration of Pb(II) and Co(II) what remain in source phasa, in membrane and at receiver phasa after operation measured with Spectrophotometer Absorption Atom ( SSA). Optimum Condition pH source phasa for Pb(II) is 7, while for Co(II) is not seen influence which is significant to span pH 3 up to 8. Optimum condition of EDTA pH for the Pb(II) is pH 5, while for Co(II) do not seen influence which is significant to span pH 4 until 6. Then optimum condition of oxine concentration for the Pb(II) and Co(II) is 0,005 M. For the optimum concentration of EDTA condition reached by at 0,1 M both to Pb(II) and also Co(II)

Bulk liquid technique membrane is selective enough for the dissociation of Pb(II) with Co(II). Result of research show that transport Pb(II) more selective than Co(II) reach 97% during the more or less 7 hour. However at this condition amount of Pb(II) which to receiver phasa reach 11%, mostly still stay in membrane phasa that is 83%.
